Turn 5-6 to be redone
May 28th, 2016 at 5:13pm

I was wondering if the Club members or executive have made a move to improve the flow of our track with a simple mod that would help the flow of our track are perhaps once again help in , enticing our American neighbors back.
I understand in talking with a few that this is not the main reason they stay away but a different layout would definitely attract some curiosity from drivers.

I would propose that turn 5-6 be straightened out in some flowing curves through the (NOT IN USE ) Motocross area.

It you really want to make mission exciting then look at putting a (DEERS LEAP) Small hill to add elevation.

What this would do : take away slow section , brake zone , and add a bit of flow.

Why would the Landlord allow this ? why not , they could still use this area for pits if it was kept flat.

While I'm addressing the Track , Maybe the Ski jump in turn three could have some leveling.
paving is not cheap but with track changes comes larger grids to pay for things.

I am curious what others think so please speak up : Its your CLUB !

I second this. I like the idea of a little elevation change.

Yup, a little of our own Trump right here in our club. Go Doody.

Hey, we can build a wall too.

'With track changes comes larger grids' - you might want to check your facts on that one! Changes to the track over the last 10 years at turns 1,3,6,7,8 and 9 have not brought any more entries!
Modifications to the track have never attracted Americans; look at next weeks SCCA entry and that's with a 30% advantage on their dollar!!!
Spend the money on track/facility maintenance, that's where it's needed.
