I see that we have a race event scheduled for April 19th through 21st. This happens to be Good Friday and Easter Weekend.

I'm pretty sure the entry will be low (family duties for some) and that the club will probably lose its shirt on the event through lack of entries.

I'm also concerned that there won't be adequate quantities of people to man the corner stations and perform other duties. I do know  that I won't be attending (not that it will make that much difference).

I strongly urge the club executive to reconsider this date.

I don't believe the Conference races have been a profitable enterprise the past few years, but that wasn't my real concern.

1. A small entry means the club loses money, which we don't want.

2. Holding a race on a Easter weekend will impact on the entry and attendance.

But, if the executive goes into this knowing that, then it's their problem, I guess.
