Looking for a 1980's BMW 320 GT2 Race Car
Nov 28th, 2022 at 7:50pm

I'm looking for a specific car that was raced throughout the 80's. Originally it was run by my father and his father, Rolf and Werner von Engelbrechten, and it won the Canadian GT2 Championship twice and ran the Runoffs in 1983 and 1984. This 320 was painted in blue and white resembling the Bavarian flag. The car ran in Ontario originally with Beach Auto as the main sponsor. The car was sold in 1985 to a body shop owner by the name of Metcalfe in British Columbia. Specifics are hard to gather but he likely was setup in Richmond if memories are correct. He ran the car out West and supposedly ran it in Washington State a lot too. This owner painted the car gold and brown supposedly. This is a wild goose chase I know but I'd love to track down the history of the car from 1985 when it left Ontario.
