Expired restraints
Jan 9th, 2013 at 11:09am

Doing a little spring cleaning and I found I have an old set of belts and buckles that expired last season.
I am led to believe that could get these re-webbed, so I am holding onto them until my new belts are getting close to their end of life.

Is there any point in keeping any of the existing webbing, or can I just cut this off?

Am I fooling myself thinking the buckles will still have 5 more good years in them -- 5 years from now?

Thanks,
Rod.

Belts may be rewebbed, BUT only by the original manufacturer. Locally, if Jeannie Hunter made the belts, she could (and would) reweb them for you using the old hardware.

If the belts are made somewhere else, you should contact the manufacturer regarding rewebbing. I know that some will reweb them for you and keep tabs on the age and condition of the hardware. I have no specifics on that, though.
