The next VRCBC general meeting will be held at the Burnaby Lake Clubhouse (The Rugby Club) this coming Tuesday Feb 19th. The Clubhouse is located at 3760 Sperling Avenue, just off Kensington Ave. (http://www.burnabylakerugby.com/contact-2/ )

Our special guest will be Bill Martin who built and raced a Wolseley Special in the early 1950's at Abbotsford and elsewhere, with such well known names as Ed A'Court, Jim Rattenbury and Trev Deeley. Bill's car had a 'tube chassis', a Fiat Topolino nose and an all aluminum body. He used several engines before settling on a bored-out Wolseley. Bill's special was the fastest street legal car at Abbotsford in 1954 and cleaned up in the 1100cc class. He also picked up a third place in the under 1500cc class at Pebble Beach, beating a couple of Oscas. Bill has also provided us a DVD with some film of local racing, trials and hillclimbs from the past. Come hear about 'the good old days'!

We target a start time of 7:00pm. There is a cash bar and we expect to have our usual "pizza by donation" arrangement. Guests always welcome.
