Driver meeting at the wrong end of the paddock!
Jun 28th, 2013 at 5:47pm

When the shade (cover from rain) and the volunteers that we applaud (and say we are so grateful to have) are at the other end of the paddock, why is the driver's meeting now held at pre-grid??? Huh

I believe it is because the meeting is now in the AM, and the tech area is otherwise occupied. Perhaps they could move it into the shelter between the containers?

Hello All.
Some of the other clubs have their driver meetings in the grandstands, but using the covered area between the containers would be a better option if it is raining.

My point (in case you missed it) is that we have one occasion to 'salute' our volunteers, the people who may hold our lives in their hands (literally) and we have lost it.
I attended the motorcycle races this weekend and they suspend tech while they held their meeting (at 8.30). The round of applause for the volunteers was obviously appreciated.
The workers went on to work two days in 30 deg. heat!!!

The driver's meeting at pre-grid is not in line with our purported 'racing family' Sad.
