Scott Hargrove Clinches USF2000 Championship

Scott Hargrove clinched the USF2000 championship today with one race left to run in the season.  The USF2000 series is a step on the Mazda Road to Indy ladder series toward Indycar.  Congratulations Scott!

Great news; I've watched Scott drive a Go Kart at the SIMA track in Sumas.
I believe he could be Canada's next open wheel star, very fast, very smooth.

This shows the level of competition that we have in karting right at our doorstep at the new karting track in Sumas.  Scott has raced in the NW in karting for the past number of years, and was at the front at Sumas with several others right at the same level.  Hopefully we will see more to follow in Scott's footsteps soon.

Plans are underway for the 2014 karting season, and hope to see some of the SCCBC folks down to take a look.  Racing starts in February and culminates with a chance to run at the world championships in France in October.  See the link at www.simaracing.com

Scott has just come fourth in the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch as part of the Team Canada scholarship effort.  Congrats to a great effort Scott in one of the tightest fields there in recent memory. Link:  https://www.facebook.com/#!/TeamCanadaScholarship
