Building a b spec Versa
Feb 10th, 2014 at 4:24pm

Thinking of building a b spec Versa, anyone know of any that have been built? After some searching, I havent found a single car. Wonder why?
It is listed as an approved model in sccas gcr.

Could it be thelack of contingency support from the manufacturer (Nissan?)? Or, is the car not competitive? It might be either or both.

I would think it would be competitive, 2700 lb 1.8l and six speed trans. (Ill bring my scales to work tom. and see what the versa weighs as it sits).  Ive already pulled a motor down to look inside, forged rods and crank , looks pretty solid. Im making a restrictor right now to see what that does to the driveability and my parts manager is looking into the suspension from Nismo. As for Nissan support, it does seem lacking, nothing compared to the rest of the  manufacturers. But for what i want to get out of it, it dosent really matter. Guess im just curious.
