The First Race of 2014
May 13th, 2014 at 12:39pm

I'm told that the 2014 rulebooks will be available shortly. I have a couple of things I'd like to point out before the race weekend.

1. We will be short-handed this weekend as Jim Kurtz will be out of town (if you're entering the SCCA Double National or whatever it's called you'll run across him). We are also going to have a couple of novice Tech Inspectors working with us. We hope you will be patient.

2. Please check to ensure that your helmet and seatbelts conform to the 2014 regulations. There is a change in the window net requirements, which will be in effect for 2015 but appears in the 2014 rules. The date of expiry on window nets will be pretty well the same as seat belts. Please refer to the fulebook for the full wording.

3. SA2000 helmets are still good.

4. A note to ALL IP competitors: The rulebook says you must have a shop manual available. Please bring this to Tech Inspection. You will be asked for it. We'd also like to have confirmation of your car's legal weight.

5. NUMBERS: this is always a problem with some folks. Please make sure your numbers conform to the requirements of the rulebook. If your numbers are not clearly legible or are not the correct size, you will be requested to change them.

Should you have any questions that I can answer, please direct them to me at my e-mail address:
michael_currie@telus.net

Thank you

I notice I made s spelling mistake in @2. That should read "rulebook" not "fulebook".

Apologies. The print is awfully small on the message.

Thanks for the heads-up Mike. Do you have any plans for Annuals at the Friday practice?

I'm prepared to do some, but it may depend on how many cars show up for Tech on Friday. And, when I can get there. I'm hoping to be on site early in the afternoon.

Will I be able to come and park my rig on Thursday afternoon/evening?  If so what time should I come? Thanks, Shane.

We don't officially have the track on thursday, Our rental period starts on Friday morning. I know that there will be some guys out there on thursday just to set up some tents and such. there is no security and definitely no overnighting on thursday night.
