history of a Suzuki Swift GTi
Oct 29th, 2014 at 4:19pm

Does anyone have any recollection of a Suzuki Swift GTi that used to race at Mission in the late 90's and possibly up to 2006?  I'm guessing that there was only one, owned locally, that raced with SCCBC.  I'm specifically wondering where I can find the lap times from that car.

I've got all the results from 2003 to now, and I've found a bunch of results for this car from 2004 to 2006 when driven by Martin. I'll put them into an email in the next couple of days and send them to you.

Remember the track has changed configurations over that time so a one for one lap comparison won't be possible.

Yes, I understand and anticipate doing direct comparisons against other cars in the same race, so that weather conditions are also equal.  I'm wondering if the little 1.3L Suzuki can match laps with a 1.5L Civic or CRX.  My real underlying goal with this research is to decide if there is any point in campaigning this Suzuki as my first race car.   I want to have fun and improve my driving, but we all know that its no fun without having someone else to race against.
