What "changes"?
Dec 15th, 2014 at 3:34pm

I saw this on Facebook today:

https://www.facebook.com/bcot.motocross/photos/a.202602496614072.1073741828.1962...

If for some reason you can't see that, it says (in part):

Quote:
“…we will be unable to renew [the motocross association’s] lease contract with [BCCCA] as we will be needing the area for [expansion], as well as a modification to the Road Racing Course.”

So does anyone know what changes they're talking about?

The termination letter is attached. Hard to imagine they could  expand their pits without taking out turns 7 through 9. I'd like to know what's up too.

Hmmm...

Do you know something we don't, or is that just idle speculation?

At this point it would be instructive to hear some comment from the club executive.

Since not all of us can attend the club meetings, and we don't have a club newsletter anymore, and the website is only occasionally updated, this forum seems to be the place where we might hear about thses things.

Hello, Executive????

Hello All
As indicated by the published letter the contract with the motocross group will not be renewed by the BCCCA.  We were advised of this a few weeks ago by Custom car that this would most likely be happening, but thought it would be incorrect to release that information be fore they did.
There may be an opportunity to make some changes to the course and utilize the area occupied by the motocross track. Before we see the big rush of ideas please consider the very significant cost to pave even small additions to the track. We just spent $ 70.000 repairing 2 turns with other areas of the existing track needing work as well.
Custom car is looking to have this area as increased paddock space for their big events so it will be flattened out. This will allow us to remove some concrete walls ,that in itself will be a big bonus.
The exec and the club need to carefully consider the cost benefit of any expansion. Will spending a pile of money on paving bring significantly more racers to Mission?
While the club exec is always open to ideas and suggestions they need to be carefully thought out and considered.
