For Sale - 1989 Civic Si Autocross Car
Nov 15th, 2016 at 5:55pm

It's not been an easy decision, but I'm putting my 1989 Honda Civic Si prepped for STS up for sale. After not autocrossing all year, accumulating two other vehicle projects, as well as a 2008 Honda Civic Si, there's no room in my stable for a dedicated autocross car. This could also easily be a road race car, just add a cage!

1989 Civic Si - shell from San Diego, American car
    - shell is rust free, but paint is faded
Drivetrain
    - Rebuilt D16A6 with 30000 km on it
    - Rebuilt Si transmission with around 5-6000 km on it
    - AEM cold air intake
    - DC sports 4:1 header
    - Redshift racing control arm exhaust
    - Two different ECUs with custom tunes, timing advanced
    - Recent oil and filter change, just had a tuneup
Suspension
    - Koni 2812 double adjustable aluminum monotube shock absorbers
    - Custom valving done in by Jeff Wong in California (STC champion 2015 car had the same valving)
    - Spherical upper mounts all 4 corners
    - Adjustable upper control arms front and rear
    - 4x2.25 springs front - 750 lbs. 6x2.25 springs rear - 700 lbs
    - ASR rear sway bar with adjustable mounts. I'll have to double check the bar wall diameter
    - No front bar
    - All polyurethane bushings
Brakes
    - Stock Si brakes all around - rebuilt calipers and Hawk HP+ pads in front, stock drums in rear
    - Stainless steel brake lines all 4 corners
    - ATE Super Blue brake fluid
Interior
    - 330 mm Momo deep dish steering wheel
    - Momo pedal pads
    - Sparco fixed back racing seat (driver)
    - Momo fixed back racing seat (passenger)
Wheels and Tires
    - 2 sets of 15x7.5 SSR Type-C wheels - 9.4 lbs a corner
    - All wheels have Toyo R1R of varying tread depth - to be competitive would likely all need replacing
Spares
    - So many. You can have all of them. I don't even really know everything I have

This car is a ton of fun to drive and very reliable. It is also very ugly, but it has a heart of gold. Time to pass it on to someone else who can use it. There are more things done to this car than I have listed but those are the main things. Weighs in at 2008 lbs. I'll also share anything I figured out about set-up etc.

Give me a call at 6o4-8I2-8632 or email at j.f.vuksic(at)gmail.com

With both sets of SSRs - $8000
With one set of SSRs - $7000
