The CACC Log Book stays with the car, not the driver.
The rules say that you are not allowed to have more than one Log Book for a car.
A few items that will be we will be looking at are:two passenger side intrusion bars installed in the roll cage (required for all closed wheel cars in 2011)
Jim, can you clarify if the driver's side foot intrusion bars also need to be added to the non-driver's side?

Cacc Appendix II:
G - It is required that there be two braces (one on either side of the car) extending forward from the front
hoop to protect the driver's legs. This bracing should extend to the bulkhead in front of the driver's feet;
but, in any case, it shall be integrated into the frame or chassis to provide substantial support for the
front hoop.

IP cars built to the 2007 rules are excempt from the passenger side foot box bar requirement.

So I read that as 1 bar (minimum) on each side.

I read it as all cars except IP cars that were built to the 2007 IP rules require both sides to have the foot box bars. All IP cars that have a log book issued after June 1 2008 do not get this exemption.

Here is the rule from the 2011 CACC rule book:
All CACC registered Improved Production cars with a log book issued prior to June 1st, 2008 shall be allowed to compete in the class but must conform to the
Improved Production published 2007 CACC Improved Production rules. This shall be noted in the
vehicle logbook and dated by the Chief Scrutineer.
You are not allowed to build a new car to the 2007 IP rules.

Tech will be there from 1 'till 4pm !!! yeah right, what a joke; maybe from 1 until 'god' feels like leaving Angry.
Why publish information you have no intention fulfilling, I was there at 3 o'clock to be told 'they went home already'.
I spend 50 hours a month working at the track, part of which was to improve tech area drainage, and you can't even stay for TWO hours!!
Oh and one more thing, pick up your cigarette buts or I'll collect them and stick them in your coffee Kiss.

Sorry about that, Keith. We had inspected all the cars that were there, socialized a bit, and left just before 3:00 pm. We thought we'd done all the folks that were going to show up.

Sorry Keith. Same comments as Mike. I saw you drive in and then didn't see you again. Mike and I left just before three o'clock I think that Al was still there. There was only one car inspected in the Tech area(Norm Shaw), so you will have to look deeper for the smokers that have offended you. The workers had their lunch buffet set up there so the rest of the cars were inspected at various pit locations.

Hey Mike, Jim,
For what it's worth, I appreciate all the hard work you two have done over the many years that I've had the pleasure of knowing you. I don't know where we'd be without the thankless hours over the many years you've dedicated so that we can enjoy our sport. Many times you have both gone out of your way to help me (and so many others) get through tech even when I couldn't meet the posted schedule, or make to the tech shack. As a matter of fact Jim, I know how many trips you've made over the years during the week, on your own time to driver's homes to help those that were in a crunch. And Mike, I lost count how many times you walked down to my pit because for some unplanned reason I couldn't get my car or myself to the shack. Just thought it needed to be said, thank you.

Lorenzo

Oh and Keith, I appreciate the 50 hours a month you put at the track too. The public berating of long standing volunteers, not so much. Undecided

A fundamental rule of "good " conflict is that you address the person you have a concern with directly.

I think we need a set of ground rules for the forum and they need to be enforced by the administrator.  If you don't follow them you are off the forum.

I will start:

1. No name calling
2. No blaming - stick with 'I" statements instead of 'you'
3. If you have an issue with a particular party use the PM or email functions.

Feel free to add more.  I think some productive conflict is a healthy thing for the club but we all need to have a common understanding of what to expect of each other if we are a users of this forum.
